Izabela received a degree in physical therapy from Stony Brook University in 2000. She opened her private practice in 2005. A strong passion for learning, teaching and supporting the need of the community led to an interest in treatment of scoliosis and kyphosis. Izabela has completed advanced training in the Schroth method, allowing her to treat juvenile, adolescent, and adult patients, as well as post surgical clients with a diagnosis of scoliosis and kyphosis. After learning the Schroth method, Izabela continued her scoliosis treatment training and obtained a certification in the SEAS (Scientific Exercise Approach to Scoliosis) method, as well as the Lyon approach to treating scoliosis. She is currently in the process of completing a Polestar Pilates Teacher certification. Her plans for the future include traveling to Poland to learn two additional schools for scoliosis treatment - DoboMed and FITS (Functional Individual Therapy Scoliosis).
Izabela is a wife and a mom to two teenagers. She is an advocate of a healthy lifestyle and committed to a lifelong pursuit of knowledge and expertise in fitness and physical therapy. Izabela enjoys traveling, reading, walking on the beach, and spending time with her family.
